The MAPIL Award for Public Service seeks to honor a lawyer practicing in Maine who has dedicated a majority of their career towards public interest work. Public interest lawyers are often overworked and underrecognized. MAPIL seeks to bridge that gap and recognize an individual who continuously works to promote justice and equity within their communities. 

This year’s MAPIL Award for Public Service Recipient will be honored at this year’s 36th Annual MAPIL Auction.
